Are there different S Mint marks. These look like different shaped S's.

this has the bulbs on the ends too. the other one doesn't have those bulbs.

No difference in mm. There are 2 different dates on 70Ss, small and large date.

Comparing the MM from year to year is not a good way to evaluate them, as the mint does use different MM on different years - why? Anybody's guess -
John1 did post up a great site to look for each type used through the years.

They are not different. 008 was used in 70 and 72.
