Afl $1 Coins - More Junk To Collect.

Called into the Post Office yesterday and picked up the two coins
from the AFL set that are being released into circulation ... the other 18 I won't be worrying about.

I will get all of the new issue Woolworths coins.
But strictly only from the till, at face value. Some coins destined for circulation will come in rolls, to be broken to stock the till.
My daughter is a deli manager and part time check out chick at Woollies.
I will just collect them, at face value, just like an enthusiastic kid.

A good introduction for kids into the fascinating world of numismatics.
This is really where the new collector policy of the Royal Australian Mint should be.

I won't bother with the carded presentation pack, at a much inflated price.
I suspect that if you try to sell them in the numismatic after market,
you won't get much above face value,
if you also have cover a profit margin for a coin dealer, or shipping fees via ebay.

So just destroy the pack, and put the coins into circulation
Sorry for being so cynical.

In future, I hope the Royal Australian Mint will not so cynically abuse new collector issues.
RAM new collector issues are starting to smell a bit like those of the RCM.
