Nice and clear, and in your newer close up images I can clearly see the DDO. Good catch on your part. My old eyes needed to adjust to see it properly. The Doubling seems to have a 'South East' direction. I'll repost one of your images to show where I can almost see split serifs and the direction I noted. Collecting since 1972. (I have noticed that on other varieties Wexler sometimes referred to these angled corners as "notching".)
