Quote: Maybe if (on the silver proof set) the Mint made the cent, nickel and dollars as REVERSE Proofs, it will bring back folks to buy the set again.. This way we can get a variety of proofs from both sets. Excellent idea! If this were a thing, it would be an easier choice to keep that subscription active.

I will be getting one, via subscription. Old habits die hard.

Quote: I'm probably going to fabricate one for the 'missing' year 2015 I'm not sure what I have left on my computer for the fantasy 2015 LESPS COA. If nothing else I could scan the one with my set. Or make you one and mail it. This was hard and also trying to change the 6 to a 5. I would say it was probably easier than any other option. If you could find OGP-only for a '16 set, that would probably be the way to go, then you just need a Proof 2015 ASE and a 2015 silver proof set. It was a challenge coming up with the proper capsules, that's the only other thing I can think of. No capsules with the silver proof set, and the capsules are special to the set. The capsule with the '15 ASE proof (in the clamshell) was correct for the LESPS. For the other silver coins, it was harder to do. But I was trying really really hard to get this all as the Mint would have done it, right down to the correct capsules for all the coins.

Yep, gathering up the coins is the easy part, I have most of the materials to 'make' the display part, I have 2 small sheets of Lexan one sheet is 1/4" thick to hold the capsules (can drill right clean through it for a nice hole), then a sheet of 1/8" Lexan to glue to the first sheet as a backing to keep the capsules from falling through. I have the Flock adhesive and flocking powder to coat it. I'll just need to get a LESP empty case to put in the Lexan and coins. Then some cosmetic work on the labeling.

I have bought at least three Silver Proof Sets each year since 2019 so I'll get three this year. I have not started working backwards with these sets yet but before 2019 they are still reasonably priced.

APMEX has silver proof sets from 2018 back to the early 90s for $30 to $90. I have 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 so I'm going to start with 2018 and work backwards. I have many proof sets from the 60s, 70s and 80s from my Mom's collection but in my collection I only buy silver proof sets.

I have all the silver proof sets since they resumed in 1992, so I have one on enrollment for 2023. All of them are in their original government packaging, and the 1992-1998 were the prestige sets, the ones that fold like a triangle. I still think those are the best packaged sets.
