NumisRob Bedrock of the Community United Kingdom 17878 Posts	Posted 12/02/2025 03:05 am NGC have labelled the coin incorrectly. The 1982 2p has a 'Two Pence' reverse, exactly like the normal 1983 2p. The 1983 2p was NIFC and most of the mules have been found in special promotional sets that were given away by drinks manufacturers in exchange for proofs of purchase. It was all part of an attempt to familiarise the public with the new £1 coin that entered circulation that year.
