I've decided to celebrate Summer and my 12,000+ posts by doing a giveaway and an optional competition!

1) GIVEAWAY
The first 20 people to reply to this post will receive a 'set' of uncirculated British 'jigsaw' coins consisting of 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p and 50p showing Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse and sections of the British coat-of-arms on the reverse.

2) COMPETITION - OPTIONAL
All participants are invited to create their own artwork using these coins and send in a scan or photo of it. It can be a serious artistic shield with correct heraldic colours, or maybe something humorous, or even political, such as an American eagle taunting the British coins or a French cockerel expressing his views on Brexit!
You may apply for the coins now - applications will end when all 20 sets have been allocated or by July 30, 2023 - whichever is sooner.
Participation in the competition is completely voluntary. All competition entries must be received by September 15, 2023, when CCF members will vote for the winner by means of a poll.
The winner will receive a surprise lot of UK coins, including one 18th-century coin, at least one Victorian coin, at least one silver coin, at least one WW2 coin, at least one commemorative crown and a Charles III coin.
Rules and Conditions:
(a) Any CCF member with at least 50 posts and who has been a member of at least 14 days (on July 19, 2023) may participate. Children and other members of the CCF member's family may help with the artwork.
(b) Coins will be sent anywhere in the world, by UK letter post. The coins have been packed so that the envelopes can be sent as 'letters' without any need for Customs declaration forms. I cannot be held responsible for postal delays or for damage caused in the post. Coins are securely wrapped with lots of glue and parcel tape (NOT on the actual coins!)
(c) Coin 'sets' have been assembled randomly and may include coins of any date between 2008 and 2021, and may include both the Rank-Broadley and Jody Clark obverses. I have already sealed them in the envelopes so I cannot sort out particular dates for individual participants.
(d) Coin packaging may include pieces from drink and food packaging, cereal packets or anything that was available. I will not be held responsible if you are offended by a picture of a steak pie or if your dog goes mad on seeing a picture of a cat from a box of cat food!
(e) Coins are standard circualation issues, not from
Royal Mint specimen sets. Some will have bag marks and scuffs or toning. On the other hand, I haven't checked them too closely, so if you find a unique 2012 5p with the Queen's ear inverted, please feel free to send it to NGC or PCGS!
(f) Participants must send me a PM with their address so that I can send them the coins!!!
(g) Please feel free to incorporate coins / banknotes / medallions etc. from your own collections into any artwork if you enter the competition!
Best of luck!
Rob
