Has anyone seen this combination of the 1976 Lincoln Penny with the wheat back side?

No I haven't seen this before. It seems like whatever the third digit in the date was, got "smushed" due to mechanical damage and now looks much like a number 7. That is odd though.

To CCF! . It's actually from 1956. It's just damaged. The date took a hit, causing the 5 to look like a 7. PMD.

Agree. Circulation hit resulted in pushed/reshaped metal--pretty much obliterating the 5. Beware Pareidolia.

You could probably determine 1956 vs. 1976 from the 9. The LWC/LMC has undergone several font revisions on the date. Here is a Variety Vista link describing them.

I had to use that because I ran across the 1974 giant date version, and thought for sure I had a doubled die cent until I looked up the design styles.

Interesting. I didn't know that time machines were coin operated!

As noted, it's most likely a damaged 5 looking like a 7. The damage to Lincoln's cheek looks a little like the Van Halen logo!

Pics are a little blurry but your coin appears to have the "broken hub 6" which is common on the 1956 Wheat cent
