If it were the actual product drop day, I'd definitely agree. This is a pretty odd situation where they are saying, even announcing that they are dropping a significant amount of them on a particular day. I've never heard of a "drop day redux", but that's what it feels like. Unless they announce differently, I'd look at the mint site ahead of that traditional early morning update time. I sure wouldn't assume 12 noon Eastern time. Good way to lose out again.

Quote: Did it say what time they would go back on sale at? The email did not mention a time. I had assumed noon EDT but now you guys are making me worried. Guess I'll set the alarm for 5:50 AM CDT!

Currently there isn't a purchase limit or HHL on the 2026 congratulations set. Are the little guys going to fight it out with the big boys?

So, If a person has a subscription, They Will receive a 2026 Congrats set ? If a person had a subscription, They will receive? If a person shows up @ High Noon and gets a miraculous Cloud-Flare experience, They Will receive ? If the HHL is Not one, Will multiples be released to people, ... If a person wanted a 2026 Congratulations set, and the Authorized Distributors Were given access to Another round of These Too, Maybe they will receive? If a person wanted this set, They Should be There @ High Noon,.....

My own experience, saving a few details, as I know I have described them at length: At the drop date, I had subs in place for 3 individual Congrats sets. They had existed before the drop, several years before, actually. Not a Johnny come lately bandwagon order. So maybe I was "grandfathered". So the answer that I'd give for someone asking me now if they can sub? No, I don't think so. If you subscribe now, it'll be for 2027, not 2026. The original release date is past. Even though they are releasing more of them, it still won't work to subscribe, thinking you'll get one easier that way. People are just now seeing subs as getting a hot release. So no sympathy from the guy who's gotten many ASEs on sub and will continue to do so, even in times when the release isn't consider a hot item. I got 2 last year, I'll have 2 next year, as long as they're offering it and I'm still collecting. Not sure about the authorized purchaser question. What I've heard, but not verified, is yes the "second release" will occur at noon Eastern. PS still kind of waiting to see if next year, the Congrats set will have a unique P ASE found only on the Congrats set like this year. Hoping it's a normal W, and those that got a subscription this year forget that they have it and get sent one next year that they don't want! Ha ha!!!

If you go to the Congrats set subscription page, it does have the "2027" banner, so yes I'd forget about subscribing if you want the 2026.

I guess I've made it clear that I didn't really "appreciate" people using subscriptions as a sort of back door "hack" to pre-order a coin. That's not really what subs are supposed to do for you, get the hot release and then drop it (again it'll be funny to me if people forget to cancel it and it's a common ASE in the Congrats set next year). But, I'm still here to mention that it may be advisable to get a sub in place for the ASEs that you can and then pause them, ready to resume if you want them. I had the 3 subs in place for the Congrats set because I thought I'd stash a few in the Mint shipper, but this was back in the white folder OGP days. The boxes were not the usual size we see today, so I sent 2 of them in to be graded instead. Then I forgot about it until the clamshell came out, that's when I resumed one of them last year. This year, knowing it was going to be a hot release, I was actually a bit surprised that the Mint let me resume that third sub I had. As of now,I still have all 3 subs active. We'll have to see what next year brings, I know I'll still want 2 of them for sure. I do have a second sub to the proof, I am just going with the one that I had filled. I actually did try resuming a second sub on the Uncirculated (Enhanced Uncirculated this year). They wouldn't let me do it! Oh well. The EU Gold Eagle comes out this month, so I probably could dial it back a bit, lolol!

Gilly, perhaps consider another perspective from someone who's been a loyal mint customer and literally has every ASE in his collection up until this missing the opportunity to purchase this one. In my opinion, the mint shouldn't setup a system where their longtime customers have to subscribe to every packaging version of what has historically been the same coin simply to avoid the possibility of missing out on a release that they decided to produce at another mint. If they were going to do so anyway, the mint should have provided ample warning for their longtime customers to subscribe and should have set the mintage limit, if any, at such a level to satisfy demand and not encourage scalpers to enter the fray. I personally don't find it at all entertaining that many of us missed out on a different coin and will ultimately have to pay someone a higher price who only purchased the coin to take advantage of the unnecessary scenario that the mint created.

Bret,I hope you're able to get one. As someone who falls in to this same category as I do, I guess I'm a little surprised you're wouldn't have been subscribed to the Congrats set. Myself, I have (or have had) a sub to everything the mint has with an ASE in it that you could subscribe to: W proof, S proof, Uncirculated, Congrats set, LESPS, I think that covers it. The 2 sets are unique in that due the graded coin people, they need those settled in the shipper, so I don't know if I'm doing this "on speculation" that someone might want these some day? But if you haven't done so already, go ahead and subscribe to what you can if you already know you want these, why leave it to chance? You can pause the sub if you need to.
