CCFPress Press Manager United States 1420 Posts	Posted 03/02/2026 3:18 pm PCGS - This Lincoln Cent was struck on aluminum using a standard die, yet on a planchet nearly twice the thickness of a normal "penny." Many experimental compositions were tested in 1942, but only three alloys are known today: aluminum, zinc-coated steel, and white metal. This aluminum cent remains, graded PCGS SP66, and last sold for $199,750. Team copper or aluminum? A copper 1943 is just a leftover planchet in the hopper. If I got one blue M&M in my red and green Christmas M&M bag, I wouldn't frame it and sell it later for $15000. Full, sharp detail on all devices makes this one resemble a medal. Also, is it my imagination or is there a collar clash near the rim through UNUM, @ k12 - k3?
