$1 50-Note Sheet $86, a $36 premium over face
$100 16-Note Sheet $1,800.00, a $200 premium because everyone knows $100 notes are much heavier to handle and ship

Nick, look at it this way.
36/50 = 72% premium.
200/1600 = 12.5% premium.
You know where the BEP is making their money here.

Yes, but they're not the new Series 2021. I wonder if they printed more sheets of the older series, or did somebody just find them in a warehouse?

Good question. I've wondered this for over a decade now when I was buying Lucky Money $2 notes long after the series was replaced by newer a series. I'm thinking they must have an "archive room" somewhere that they store sheets of past series.

I think you are right these are old sheets. The $1 sheet of 50 has sold out in a day.

All of these notes are legal tender, right? The accounting for these transactions is probably rather interesting, especially when the notes are transferred from the BEP to the mint store. After all, you would expect that the federal reserve bank that issues the notes would want to get paid. Fortunately, the modern practice is for the federal reserve bank to issue the note while it is still in the hands of the BEP so at least you don't have to worry about physically shipping the note from the BEP to the federal reserve bank and then to the mint store.

I bought this 50-subject sheet when they first became available. It's a series 2013 A-D block. I bought a cheap frame for it but haven't decided which room I want it in.

Very nice decoration...maybe the collecting itch will strike again a bit looking at it often. I used to get these kind of uncut sheets as gifts from my dad growing up as well as some proof/mint sets as he was an executive in a branch of the treasury dept. I remember thinking I could somehow put back together the shredded currency. however

I don't see many available except $10 and $50, Too bad as the $1s and $2s especially make cool gifts.
