Is it fairly common for the USM to announce Mintage and / or Product Limits only to cut off production / sales well short of the limits ?
I believe it is when they have problems. The silver proof set was halted after QC issues. Maybe the clad set had the same issues and they quietly paused them as well. I just cannot imagine, after having no updates on the situation this late in the year, they would be able to resume them. I do, however, reserve the right to be completely wrong.

@jbuck: They must have had problems with the 2025 American Liberty Silver Medal too. Mintage & Product Limit shown at the USM shopping site is 60,000.
Through 10/8/25, they sold 29,932, and it is "currently unavailable" and "it may be restocked later."

One has to wonder what is going on that they are not telling us.

Let us get the rumours started! Staff cutbacks? Expensive maintenance parts? Not enough silver to mint?

They're using a Ouija Board to determine Mintage Limits ? They are redefining the scope of the term "close enough for government work" ?
