Very sorry to read about your accident. The fact that it could have been worse is probably not much consolation right now but it will be eventually. Get better soon.

Quote: Given the image posted, I'm thinking that chrome tub fixture falls in the AU55-58 range. Well given it was just delivered straight from the warehouse in 'mint packaging' In hand it is more like DBGS MS-69 (DearBorn Grading Service) maybe pushing a 70 Quote: I'm saying PMD, likely fire damage. Well I did have to clean the copper quite extensively and harshly (sandpaper) to bring back the bright copper color, but thankfully it is now 'forever' hidden behind the DBGS MS-69 spout. Quote: All the best Dearborn. Or should we call you Fireball now. Well that works! Quote: What the heck are you using a propane torch for at your age? Umm, Saving my money to purchase coins instead of giving it to some 'incompetent' plumber. Quote: Perhaps it was the age of the old propane tank that is material. Well that is a good possibility there. Nothing here in the SW Desert lasts long at all. Quote: Wow, you are lucky it was not worse. Glad you are getting about, and hope you are 100% soon! Hey Dearborn, it's great to hear that your wounds were not more severe! Hopefully you still straight grade w/o details. Very sorry to read about your accident. The fact that it could have been worse is probably not much consolation right now but it will be eventually. Get better soon. Thanks for the great and funny comments!

Yikes @dear. That's all a bit scary, but it sounds like you are on the mend now. Also, is it too early to suggest a new avatar?

I leave you unattended for 10 seconds and look what happens! Glad to hear you're on the mend. Quote: Umm, Saving my money to purchase coins instead of giving it to some 'incompetent' plumber. I'm guessing you didn't save much this time? I hate plumbing because I run out of gas about the 7th time going to the store for parts. (If I were you I'd check the connections on the bbq grill. )

What a bummer. Sounds like some thing I would do. Sit back and be thankful for what you have. Enjoy life.

(If I were you I'd check the connections on the bbq grill. Well, I needed to get a new torch set anyway the one that had was over 40 years old and it was time to 'fire' it. I cook with charcoal on the grill - no gas there.
