Can Someone Tell Me What Is Wrong With This 1983 Lincoln Cent ?

Crowny New Member United States 31 Posts	Posted 11/23/2023 6:08 pm Happy Thanksgiving to all !!! I need some help identifying the defect on this 1983 Lincoln Cent I found in a bank roll. Can anyone tell me what's going on here? There's the obvious raised wave on the obverse, and a sort of stitch looking line on the reverse. Report this Post to the Staff

Crowny New Member United States 31 Posts	Posted 11/23/2023 6:43 pm I actually already tried pressing on it with a toothpick. Then again with the end of a lighter I covered with a dry lense wipe. There was no movement or change of shape I could detect. It seems as solid as the rest of the coin Report this Post to the Staff

Having said that, the obverse linear feature is a linear plating bubble. Not sure what that feature is on the reverse. Report this Post to the Staff

Petespockets55 Pillar of the Community United States 5797 Posts	Posted 11/23/2023 8:52 pm I agree that is a linear plating bubble on the obverse. The reverse seems to have elements of a clash starting under the stairs and arcing through the top of ONE CENT which would be Lincoln's head from the obverse.
