I usually hate these, due to widespread poor condition, but saw this guy up for sale at auction and it's quite a nice example. NGC slab problem free.

I agree that it looks like a 64 but it is way overdipped and would not pay very choice unc money.

Luster is somewhat muted, probably due to toning. I think MS63 is appropriate. I'm not super experienced with these coins, but I don't see any signs of wear.

Appears to have light handling and not too many contact marks. Lacks appeal for strong gem grade, but I think it could be in a 65 holder.

Perhaps this coin is from the GSA hoard, explaining the lack of color?

There were multiple bags of 1859-O and 1860-O dollars discovered during the 1964 Treasure Release, as I recall.

Nice coin. I'm guessing it has more luster than the pictures show. MS for sure just can't give a numerical grade from these pics. Congrats!

I am going to hedge a bit and say MS62-MS63. An uncirculated Seated dollar is always a nice thing to see!

I'm certainly curious. If mint state, I don't see why it shouldn't make 65.

The nearly mark free coin is not showing luster for a grade above MS62. I am with NS the coin appears to have been dipped as the stars are showing white rings where toning may have been removed.
