Adams101 New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 12/19/2023 3:42 pm Hi Everybody, I manage a retail store and came across this penny, I first noticed the scuff across the face wasn't copper colored. I cleaned it up some and noticed it doesn't appear to be copper at all. Any thoughts? Report this Post to the Staff

Second, it looks to me like you have the zinc core of a cent here--someone has stripped off the copper plating, whether mechanically as described by @cuj or chemically. Either way, it is worth face value only.
