1956 D LWC Small Defects On The Reverse

I spotted this yesterday. It seams to be a small chip in the die next to the N in cent and another over the M in America. I don't think its all PMD. Sorry for the poor quality photos. I took them with my microscope which looks great on the 32 TV screen, but it does take sad photos.

Looks like Laminations to me.

These would be pretty small for laminations--consider that they might be struck through copper foil instead. Either way, it is a fun find.
