I am going to buy the silver bullion coin made my The Royal Mint when my normal sources of UK bullion coins has their stock. While I like the US Mint silver medal, I can't justify the cost with the shipping charges & customs duty to order one from the US Mint.

I want to buy the 1 oz silver proof coin from the UK Royal Mint, but US people cannot buy proof coins. What I understand...US people can only buy bullion from The Royal Mint. Is there another way to get them?

Quote:Coincidentally, The Royal Mint offering of its Liberty & Britannia coins also began today. There was no virtual waiting room and I had no problem ordering the silver coin, even though I had never ordered from The Royal Mint before. Excellent!

Quote:Coin and medal set? I really wished they would have offered a UK coin and US Medal set (akin to the 2020 Mayflower set), but I do not find any evidence that is in the works. Yeah not sure where I got that, but that's certainly what I was thinking. Wishful thinking I guess.

The side that's shared between both mints version I don't really care for. The US Mint version I like the sun rising side. I decided to just order the RM version. I hate to say the decision is somewhat based on King Charles health. One other factor was how much more limited the RM version is. I am saving a bit of money this year by cancelling the AWQ rolls and the Morgan/Peace releases. So I decided I could splurge on this. I could change my mind on the 2 coin reverse proof set.

I just checked RM (Royal Mail) tracking. It's in Chicago already! I was probably less than a mile from it at O'Hare today. One thing I thought of. I wonder if The Royal Mint numbered the COA?

Mine arrived today. Beautiful coin, I'm impressed that it arrived in only 8 days. The US Mint needs to step up its game. UK 2 Pounds 2024 Britannia and Liberty.

It's shameful that the US Mint Liberty & Britannia Silver Medal is still on pre-order, while my UK coin ordered the same day is already in hand.
