1986 D One Ceny Penny Error - Weight = 2.33 Grams

mrwhatisit Pillar of the Community United States 2972 Posts	Posted 02/19/2024 11:23 pm It looks as if this poor cent was caught in a chemical which made it reduce down in weight, so it becomes a very spendable post-mint damage cent... Original weight of this Lincoln Cent would have been 2.5 grams so makes sense on your weight and that the copper metal is only thinly layered on the zinc core, so can be somewhat easy to remove.
