I googled up this coin and found spitting eagle. Most of what I saw online were not so nice spits! :)— this one here is straight out his beak. Though I'd share. I'm searching thru many saved cans/coin throughout the years.

Can you post up a better (in focus) closeup image please?
I thought that the 'spitting Eagle' is a result from a die clash. I don't see how that mark can be a clash.
Is that feature raised or incuse?

It looks like a die gouge, but it's a bit hard to tell from those images.

Hard to tell what's causing this. Could be a die gouge or just damage. However, what it definitely is not is what is typically called a "spitting eagle," which is a die clash that looks nothing like this.

Could be a Die Gouge. We'll need much better in focus images, to be sure.

Trying to take a better pic. Difficult with size restrictions.
This can be felt. I ran a toothpick over it. It is on the surface.

Entirely raised, or some material has been displaced from a gouge and raised up around it? The latter is what it looks like to me, but the pictures aren't great.
