Stra1ghtG, your dime is simply stained and discolored. You can confirm that it wasn't struck on a cent planchet by weighing it - a cent would weigh ~ 2.500 g, while a dime should weigh ~ 2.268 g. Also, a cent planchet wouldn't fit in the collar for striking dimes (unless it was broad struck).

Just wondering how a cent sized planchet could be struck on both sides by a coin stamping machine set up to strike dimes? The larger sized cent planchet wouldn't fit into the dime sized coining chamber/collar. Right?
