Got this bicentennial with something going on pretty noticeably to the mint mark.

It's not in the same position as the only 1976-D RPM listed on Variety Vista. Looks interesting, though.

I don't think that it's an RPM. It looks like damage.

I'm thinking post-strike damage on the mint mark--a ding or hit.

I just don't see a ding added metal like that while also not even remotely effecting the mint mark. The D doesn't seem touched, it's underneath. Top left you can also see the same stacked pattern in the VV listing.
