Mint capsules are pretty tight. Some use their fingernails. I use a pocket knife, carefully work my way all around the coin several times prying up slightly in the seam between the two halves. Don't force it or the plastic could crack. Take your time going around the capsule until the top half is loose. I don't let the knife slip into the capsule since the motion is up/down, not inward. I've never damaged a coin doing this, at least so far LOL.
Does it really matter? Maybe to relocate it to an album or CAPS capsule. OGP holders do not fit CAPS albums.
That being said, I have no problem using my thumbnail, which is substantially stronger than my other nails. When that fails, I use my old pocket knife; it is rather dull and I keep it that way for things like this.
