I am uploading the obverse and a blowup of the area I have a question about. I have approximately 15 1941 wheat pennies that I have looked at. This coin, the 1 in the 41 is not straight and smooth. First question, is this a 1941 Wheat penny? If not, what year could it be? If it is, why is the 1 so tilted? I have not found a similar digit in searching this forum and others. I would love points of view on how this could happen to a digit or a point to a similar post? Hopefully, the group finds this as interesting as I have.

It's a 1941 S, but one that has suffered mechanical damage. We often attribute this to the mechanism in gumball machines as it only affects the last digit of the date and the letter L of LIBERTY, but it could be from something else.

Yes. Post-strike damage, in this case very likely caused by an 'old school' mechanical coin vending mechanism. We see these periodically on the forum.

@kyw, just for fun I used the keywords 1941 and GUMBALL to search CCF for 1941 cents that look similar to yours. Here are links to all four of them (there may be others, but these were the easiest for me to find):

http://goccf.com/t/382745

They all look a bit different, but have roughly the same mechanical damage to that last digit in the date.

To be fair, I would not have thought to add gumball to my search. I was skeptical that one small area of a coin could be damaged this way. Experience does matter when trying to find the right keywords.
Who gets credit for identifying the gumball damage so accurately? That is a great find. I may add gumball to all my searches going forward.
thanks all
