First is damage, acid bath or Dryer Coin. Really difficult to tell with the pics.

1920 LWC looks like simple wear but again, pics leave it open to interpretation. In either case, I do not see any errors at play.
I swing a metal detector and have a knack for finding dirty old coins.

Both exhibit post-strike damage.

The first does appear to be a dryer coin--can't rule out an acid exposure at one time (or two). The second is showing a good dose of circulation wear--obverse appears to show a hint of woody characteristics.

Looks like some kind of environmental damage. (acid perhaps, found coin ?)
