I received a lovely 1901 Canadian Large Cent today graded MS-64 Red by ICCS (International Coin Certification Service).
The seller had taped the coin to a piece of cardboard and when I removed the tape and picked up the coin the flip broke into two pieces. The coin itself is still in the sealed holder so the grading opinion is still valid according to the flip.
My question is, does anyone know if ICCS has a service where a coin in a damaged flip can be sent in to have it put in a new flip? I know you can do this with NGC coins that are in a damaged flip.
Thanks for any help with this question.
