Please advise how to send coins for grading:

1- Can we use FEDEX or DHL from Dominican Republic
2- Are there any other ways
3- If so, how do we declare them for US CUSTOMS

Please give us all information. We will really appreciate this help.

thanks

Seriously, you're going to trust advice from random idiots you meet on the internet?

/1/ Many shipping services will not accept coins and other types of "money" for shipping - you need to check the terms and conditions. Both whether they will accept them, and what insurance is available.

You need to check both ways ... to the US and the return home...

For example https://pe.usps.com/text/imm/ce_024.htm

According to the USPS, you can't mail "Coins; banknotes; currency notes; manufactured and unmanufactured platinum, gold, silver; precious stones; jewels; expensive jewelry; and other valuable articles." and "Coins; banknotes; currency notes, including paper money; securities of any kind payable to bearer; traveler's checks; platinum, gold, and silver; precious stones; jewelry; watches; and other valuable articles are prohibited in Priority Mail Express International shipments to the Dominican Republic."

FedEx lists only agricultural products https://www.fedex.com/en-us/shippin...d-items.html

etc.

/2/ Contact your preferred service and ASK them. After all, they're going to have to go through various hoops to return your coins.

I wouldn't trust your postal service for a light second ,
nor that of ANY third world postal service .
GOOD LUCK ever seeing your coins again !

You
are
not
listening.

YOU need to do the research.

My caution is that you need to pick a shipping service that will accept your coins.

Your question would be best directed towards someone who also actually lives in the Dominican Republic who has tried this, or who at least has experience sending coins in and out of the country.

Unfortunately, I don't think anyone on this forum will be able to help; according to our membership list, you are our only currently active member from the Dominican Republic.

If you can find a coin dealer in the country, they would probably be the best person to ask.

Otherwise, contact the TPG you are thinking of using, and ask them about what shipping options they would recommend.
