Also.. I understand there is skepticism in a few posts. Skepticism is a healthy response to what could be called a "miracle" in our little world - so please accept these posts with a healthy dose of patience and refrain from calling people 'idiots'. It's not something that will endear you to the forum or its moderators.

Just a thought.

I do wish you luck, and am really hoping the coin is real. Not only for you, but for all of us - it would prove miracles do happen

Really? Out of the people who have been rude and flaming and insulting you pick this time to give me advice not to call someone an idiot. I think a person can only take so much of the same people acting outrageous for absolutely no reason. I could understand if I was being agressive or rude but I have just been simply been keeping people up to date. Like said numerous time I'm looking for advice and information on this situation. Not looking for bottomless insults.

Thanks for the good luck I hope it works out the way we all want it too.

Also Bryan I appreciate the response. I have been hoping to get this kind of feedback from people. I am glad I got myself a lawyer to deal with this. I am not willing to go to jail over a coin or anything really. If it is real and I have to choose either forfeit it or go to jail well they can have their coin. So I am hopeful no one knows about this and I can figure out a way to get this sold legally. Who knows what do....

With regard to name calling I suggest you re-read this entire thread. I just did and only one person has done any name calling throughout.

That would be you.

Ignorant clowns, Idiots, Stupid, Angry Children. etc.

Some of us have asked pertinent questions which you have failed to answer. The scepticism arose, not only because of the particular coin you have but due in large part because you chose to post pictures of your coin. When it was pointed out these were stock photos taken from the internet you decided there was some kind of mix up between your own photos and these.

When then asked to produce your photos you claimed to have none. Which begs the question which photos were you trying to post when you posted the wrong ones, if you never actually had any of your own?

When asked about the name of the museum, you ignored the question.

I think we would all love to believe you, but you have offered absolutely no proof of anything so far.

So I ask you again. Which museum was it?

ill send you the pictures if you want to see it. I think most people in this thread deserve to see pictures of it. Id post the pictures here. But as previously stated I cant stand a couple of the people posting in here and turning this into a flame session.

Anyways if you're interested Ill show you the pics when I get them back. And state also if it is real. I have been told it is real by many coin professionals already. Ill wait for the others to confirm it before I make it official.

LOL ! you would think we all live in Missouri ? the simple truth is we live in a hobby filled with people who try to fool us , cheat us with artificially toned coins and sellers who over grade for the all mighty buck .

and then we have the 33 double eagle the holy grail of coin collecting and when we see or hear about one the first and most natural response is skepticism, we can't help it,we can't change it its just the way and nature of the collector to have that bit of hesitation when this particular coin is mentioned .

just know that deep down inside we all hope its real , we all hope that you have one of the real ones and not one of the many copies which are available , we hope you do your own homework and weigh the coin, do a metal content check ,specific gravity test and all the high tech stuff to be positive and then we hope that you let us either share in the joy or the dis appointment whichever comes to pass, keep us informed as much as possible and know that we truly are a great bunch of collectors gathered together here for just this moment !

If it is real, I recommend changing your name and moving to France or some island country.

So how did you get it again? Someone from Israel? That might be plausible, since when the revolutionaries overthrew Farouk, they sold his things to everyone. Otherwise, your friend from Israel must have known some people pretty high up on the government's food chain.

Of course, if it is real and is already in the hands of others, they could have already reported it to the US government is as we speak is already locked away.

So... hope you get it back, and if you can get any authentication from a large source in writing (a Royal Provincial Museum or something like that) then run before the feds get you...

Or tell them your story of where it came from.

There were ~500k, struck. 1 has been legalized. 15 have been found and confiscated. Let's hope yours is real.

^^^^ well no one is making you stay here. If you dont like the answers I am giving about this right now, sorry. You will have to wait.

also from someone saying for me to post pictures of "my lady" with a torch to "put up to shut up" to frauding people to lying is basically name calling.

I wont be replying to anymore of this bickering or annoying people. This thread is getting a little too messy.

I will only be seeking advice and information and discussing the coins. Aside with a few certain people.

thanks

Yeah, pictures prove everything.

I'm selling my wouirrel to a World Famous zoo next week. Now I know there won't be as much controversy over my wouirrel since they're not illegal to own but here's a picture for you non-believers....

Not at all.

The expression "To put up or shut up" is not derogatory and is very common here (UK). It merely is a call for someone to provide proof or to desist from carrying on.

So far you have failed to do either. As far as the answers you are giving. I'm still waiting for those.

I am going to sign off the forum until this gets straightened out.
This kind of stuff does not belong in a forum I want to be a part of.
Good night! and good luck!

Wow, and to think . . . I make fun of my wife for watching daytime soaps . . . and I just read this entire post.

Very entertaining!

I'm new to this forum, but not new to internet forums in general. sdexcid, you might actually have a super rare coin and might actually be bad with computers and haven't been able to post "proof". But come on man, you have to at least admit that this whole thing sounds fishy. Actually, I think you have admitted that its very far-fetched, but yet you still act surprised at our doubt.

My money is on this whole thing being made up, I doubt you even have a "fake" to take a picture of if you wanted to. I've seen many people do exactly what you're doing on other forums. Some people actually get a kick out of duping others on the internet. Some people love upsetting others and just sit back and laugh at all the drama they can stir up while sitting behind their computer screen safe at home.

If your story is actually true, then you'd be more willing to fulfill the requests that have been made.

1) You did say that photo you "accidentally" posted of a different real coin was mixed up with the photo you took. So where's that photo you took?

2) You say your coin is in a safe deposit box. So take your camera or cell phone to the bank and snap a photo of it. (maybe they don't allow that though, not sure)

3) You say a museum offered you $5m but won't say what museum.

4) You say your lawyer is going to be handling the situation now, yet you continue to come back here and "ask for advice".

5) You keep asking for advice . . . but what kind of advice are you looking for. You refuse to show us your coin so the coin experts can't help you determine if its real and what to do next.

I predict this charade will continue until you actually pony up enough information to hang yourself with.

However, I beg you . . . please do your best to produce some genuine proof of your coin, or stop causing drama in what is usually a very friendly and close-knit community.

EDIT: Scuba, your wouirrel almost made me spit beer on my monitor. Thanks for the laugh man!
