Well thanks man!
So okay, when you finally get around to picking one out, I'll be happy to help you out, as a dutiful Canadian, and assign a grade on it for you. Just slip it into an envelope properly addressed to me(I will pm you my address), slap some stamps on that puppy and drop it into your nearest mailbox... oh , and don't forget to enclose a stamped* self addressed return envelope. And PRESTO! in 6 to 27 weeks your Canadian graded coin will be safely back in your possession.

what?, oh hell I'll just add a dot onto one I've already got. I've seen alotta pictures... how hard can it be?

* note: a stamp foreign to Canada(receiver indebtedness and a lotta emails later).

okay, so I'm bored... let's get this thing moving along to 10 pages already

edit >>> ... and remember, just because it's against ebay policy doesn't mean it's illegal, now does it

you still owe us an answer, several times asked, WHICH Calgary museum it is that made the offer?//////?!!
as I said before... NONE of them has any Millions in reserve to bauy an US coin....
as a fact, they would cover their butt and get an opinion from the US, probably Heritage , Stacks or PCGS.. and then the US authorities would know... as You can not send it across without declaring it ( max 9,999 Dollars in currency or instrument without declaring it on a form)...
so, you had us all going now....admit you dreamed it up for next April First....
What other coins did your Gandpa leave you?
any pictures of them?

Anyone know how to put ignore on some of these ignorant clowns?

Good news guys! I'm getting the pictures back in a couple of days. I got this lawyer to request them back and he said he will get them back to me for sure by mid week.

There are a few people in here I am not going to show them to because they are acting like little angry children.

Moderator can you ban a couple people from this thread as they are just here to flame people?

Not sure how I will post the pictures. Maybe Ill just pm them to you guys or email them. If any of you post the pictures on here without my permission this thread will be closed. Or whatever, I wont put any more pictures or talk about this topic any longer once you receive the pictures for proof and of interest.

Just keep the pics to yourself and comment here about them. I do not want a couple of these idiots having anything to do with this find. I will list the people after who get to view this coin. I am sure the few who will not get to see it know who they are. Its too bad I have to go to this extent as this is a coin forum and I think a coin like this should be able to be posted for all to see. But blame the people who continually act out of line and are repeatedly ignorant. I am highly annoyed by this. To be honest, the only reason why I keep coming on here to check in on comments is because there are some who actually are interested and in my mind deserve to be part of this. Otherwise I would just say forget these goofs and let you find out another way.

The countdown is now on and I expect a whole lot of apologies after this picture is confirmed by you, the forum. Hopefully after, the moderator will ban a few annoying pests. As they almost steered me away from you guys being the first and only forum to be part of this.

Will check in every day. Hopefully people can have new info for me to learn about this coin.

Thanks

sdexcid.. you won't be able to PM anyone on here until after 50 posts, and even then, attachments cannot be sent. You probably would not want to upload those pictures to any of those picture-sharing sites. The one best person you can send the pictures to is Forum Dad (Bobby). Click "Contact Us" on the left menu and send him an email to ask about it.

Also.. I understand there is skepticism in a few posts. Skepticism is a healthy response to what could be called a "miracle" in our little world - so please accept these posts with a healthy dose of patience and refrain from calling people 'idiots'. It's not something that will endear you to the forum or its moderators.

Just a thought.

I do wish you luck, and am really hoping the coin is real. Not only for you, but for all of us - it would prove miracles do happen

Like I have said earlier...there is so much fraud in this hobby that unless proof is given then everyone is a naysayer. It kinda comes with the territory and we have chased away many a conman. If what you have is truly genuine then I'll be one of the first to congratulate your find. I'll even put up the velvet ropes so some members can form a line to atone for their brashness.

Thats pretty outrageous. I guarentee it isn't real than.
Well as some of your have so tactfully put...the OP doesn't know what they are talking about. So when he says the word, "guarantee" you believe him now? Real or not, it's not cool to constantly berate people.

It is interesting , not one question answered,no pictures, and calls for a mod to ban posters after a rash of name calling...and oddly the mod agrees , very strange indeed.

I want you to know that any 1933 St Gaudens coin is illegal to own, they are US property and if you sell it you are committing a crime because these are stolen property from the US Government. They did sell 1 coin for 7 Million Plus dollars and made that 1 coin legal tender to own but there are a few others that have been confiscated from individuals who owned them because they were never released to the public and since that never happened they are still US property. Chances of the one you have being real is pretty slim but in the small chance it is, then a safety deposit box wouldn't be a safe place to store a stolen coin. Another thing, if it is real, you would not want to let anyone and I mean anyone know you have it because it will get confiscated and the borders of the US isn't enough to stop the US Govt from talking to any other countries Govt to get their stolen property returned to them (especially when it is such an important piece of history as all these 1933 St Gaudens coins that still exist are). The chances of a legit person offering to buy a coin that they know they will not be able to keep for 5 million dollars is also slim to none, and if they say they will set up a sale, well that is another red flag, because the US Govt would be the main ones wanting to get this in their possession and as I said they will stop at nothing to get back what is lawfully theirs

Bryan1315 sshhhh! If it's real we get to see gothic florin eat a $100 bill with tabasco sauce.

If you scare sdexcid into hiding from the feds we'll never know what happens.

Now GF, I hope you are going to film the meal and put it on youtube for us.

So sdexcid I was wondering what your username means? Did you use to work for the Criminal Investigation Department in South Dakota?

I fully dont expect people not to question me or anything I ever say because they dont know me. As you said, I guess there is alot of fraud in this business or hobbie.

I just dont really expect nor appreciate being borderline degraded and called names. Especially when I am just here to figure this all out with your guys help and advice. This is probably the safest place to get it.

As the other person said it is illegal and that is what I have been told. It is being double checked so we all know 100% whats going on with this situation.

To the other person saying I went from saying it wasnt real to it is real. Well when I had no clue about it and still know zero about coins, people were saying its probably a fake and I agreed. Thinking ya its probably a fake. Than I contacted coin shops and others and were told it is real. Hence the change in opinion. I thought that was more than clear but my guess is you're here just to be ignorant and gain some kind of attention with your attention seeking comments. As almost everything you write is negative.

Lets not turn this thread into a huge flame war but a thread to learn things, discuss things and learn the situation about this coin. Just keep the negative comments elsewhere there is no need for it. No one is bothering you so why start on others?
