Ken Potter - Here are two Punch Press Lifters that are used to place steel blanks into a stamping press without the worker risking the loss of an arm or fingers. The top lifter is normal while the one below it was struck by the dies! The bends are due to the ring of the dies to help hold the planchet in place while being blanked out to a smaller configuration.
