Help With 1943 Pennies - I Think They Are Replated

I removed them from the flips they were in thinking it was some sort of PVC residue and soaked them overnight in acetone. No change. Report this Post to the Staff

Sap Moderator Australia 16805 Posts	Posted 04/30/2024 9:26 pm The strange blotchiness does look more like some kind of glue or paste to me rather than a straight "replating that's gone horribly wrong" scenario - though a glance at the edge should tell you if they're replated or not.
