I think I've got a handful of 16th century Polish-Lithuanian denars, then I am done

1554 Lithuania (same type as j1m from yesterday):

Nice Polish/Lithuanian coins recently, so I'll post this 13th Century Denar from a bit south: Slavonia (Zagreb mint).

Amazing how deep your collection is for the late medieval era! I really like that Slavonian type with a critter on one side, and two royals on the other.

A 1555 Polish denar struck in Gdansk:

Thx all. @tdz, on better-preserved examples, you can tell that the critter is a marten. However, I thought that the cross on the rev was a pretty cool design and well-enough preserved to pick up this one almost ten years ago.

Here is a late 13th Century Pfennig from Strasbourg issued under the authority of Konrad III von Lichtenberg. The figure is usually described as an angel and the strike goes all the way through the coin so one side is inset while the other is in relief.
