Thx all! Moving on to the 15th Century, I think that @era may need to weigh in on whether this Schwaren is in scope for the thread or not. After a tiny bit of research, it seems that this denomination is also called a "heavy pfennig", so I'm hoping we are ok. It comes from the German Archbishopric of Bremen and features St. Peter on the rev.

While we wait on a ruling from @era, here is a tiny (11 mm and 0.2 g) 15th Century Denar from Pomerania. With that design element on the reverse, you shouldn't be surprised to learn that the mint was at Stargard. For whatever reason, my 15th Century coins seem to skew toward larger denominations than the Denar/Penny. It isn't that I won't have any submissions, but just fewer I think than in the past couple centuries.

After a tiny bit of research, it seems that this denomination is also called a "heavy pfennig" "Schwaren" - never heard of that, but it seems to be short for "swarer Penning", or "schwerer Pfennig" in standard German. So yes, a "heavy penny" and clearly qualified to participate in this thread. Apparently named so to distinguish it from the earlier and lighter Hohlpfennig. Now I learnt something new today, thanks Spence (and thanks again for all the coins from your seemingly inexhaustible supply)!

Thx @era! Here is a second Pomeranian Denar broadly dated to the 15th Century. Similar in design to the one I posted this am, but rather with the Lily signifying the Garz mint.

This Pfennig was issued by the German City State of Limburg in the first half of the 15th Century. Another coin that hasn't previously been posted to CCF by me (or anyone as far as I can tell).

Is that a rose on the reverse or am I just imagining it?
