The last report posted on the BEP Monthly Production Reports website was for January 2024. Anyone know if there's been a change in location or posting policy? I've sent an e-mail to them asking for any information. We'll see if I get a response. Edited by BadDog

I've seen them get behind in the past.
Typically, whatever is causing the backlog gets addressed and they'll post 3 months at a time and eventually get caught up. I've had friends submit FOIA requests when it gets this far behind.

It looks like the BEP updated their production reports today. It's now current through July.

If I am reading these correctly, the $20 and $2 notes have not yet been printed in series 2021 (Yellen/Malerba)
Would love to see the $2 printed with Yellen's signature.

First post, glad I found you guys! I've seen loads of new BEP-strapped 2021 L & A FRB $1 notes at banks, pretty high numbers and yet BEP production reports through Jul 2024 don't show any being printed. And I've seen the Ls prior to July. What's that about? Also, 2021 J & I stars have been on ebay for months, but no mention of them yet in the reports. Kinda new to all this, so welcome any learning opportunity on this... |

What's that about? The BEP started printing Series 2021 $1 FRNs in Dec 2022. San Francisco (L) notes have been printed up to L96000000F so far. Look at the Mar 23 - Sep 23 reports for their printing history. Boston (A) notes have been printed up to A32000000B so far. Look at the Jan 23 - Mar 23 reports for their printing history. It might happen, but I wouldn't hold my breath  In 2024, for some reason, the Federal Reserve changed its currency orders from a Government Fiscal Year to a Calendar Year (If you're interested, you can find the Fed's currency orders here), so the BEP is still printing FRNs in response to the Fed's CY2024 order. The CY2024 currency order calls for 211,200,000 to 256,000,00 $2 FRNs to be printed and the BEP has only printed 44,800,000 so far back in Jan 2024. So, it appears they have a way to go to fulfill the currency order. Or maybe not. The Fed's FY2023 currency order called for 0 $2 FRNs to be printed, yet the BEP printed 204,800,000 $2 FRNs in May - Aug 2023. I suspect that those notes count against the CY2024 order.  There could still be hope with the CY 2025 currency order as it calls for 307,200,000 to 416,000,000 $2 FRNs to be printed and the order does also say Quote:

The Board and BEP agree on the need to allocate resources to achieve the planned security feature and banknote design milestones required to meet the Department of Treasury's announced 2026 issuance date for the Catalyst $10. but then again, the CY2024 currency order had essentially the same language in it and the signatures haven't yet changed on all denominations of FRNs. |
