How To Keep Unanswered Topics Visible For Longer

The first category I look at every day is Unanswered.

However, I generally don't answer unless I feel I know the answer or I've got a worthwhile contribution.

Why?

It's because the topic is no longer visible in Unanswered when somebody posts a reply, even if the reply is a request for more info or only a partial reply; and then there's less chance that the topic will get a full answer.

Might the solution be to have a category of "Few Answers", or to leave a topic in "Unanswered" for a week after the first reply?

Then people like me won't be reluctant to write only a partial answer,
