Sweden 1873, 20 kronor. In 1873, Sweden changed currency from riksdaler to kronor. 10 and 20 kronor gold coins were the first coins with the new denominations, since convertibility of banknotes to gold was required from day one. Lower denomination silver coins came in 1875. 20 kronor was almost a month's pay for an agricultural worker.
