I just did a quick search for "2025 Silver Eagle Marine Privy" when I read you post and there were more than 10 for less than $160 shipped that were "Buy it Now" with some that had the "Make an Offer" option.

Now it's available again, secondary market price has dropped, and came out to be not as popular as the Army and Navy releases.

Any ideas why that might be? Collector/ASE/wallet fatigue?

Hello, Mike. I only bought one when they were originally released and it was in excellent condition. It was a Christmas gift for my son-in-law who spent six years in the Marine Corps.

A lot of the ebay sellers I looked at had very low transaction numbers. A few of them said the coin may have milk spots and the capsules may have scratches. That sounds like they could have been returns.

I am Not saying the Bay is bad, I am saying once We take the Bay's route, One more thing has to be considered, Seconds, returns etc.

I am surprised @ The U S Marine ASE having been so anticipated, It is available Again.....@ $91.00

I agree that ebay is not bad, Mike. I've bought many silver coins there.
I just found it odd that so many listings are from low transaction sellers. I didn't see any of the bigger sellers with tens of thousands of transactions listing this coin at the $150 to $160 price.

Good thoughts GLB49.

Also, with the relatively unusual P mint mark for this series, I'm surprised that this one didn't take.

The Army and Navy ASEs probably sold out because there are tons of Vets from those services.

As far as Marine vets go I have heard that they are few but proud

Look at it this way.
The Army and Navy privy releases went off pretty much without a hitch. Except the Army was a presale and ERRbody hates a presale. Not enough people pay attention to what they are signing up for. It's not that much different than a subscription, in a way. You don't PAY, they don't take the MONEY, until it ships! But everyone is "where's my coin?, where's my coin?, I just ordered a coin, I should have my coin!". But I digress.
The Marine privy, because the APs got all whiney faced about not getting enough 70s, whined and cried enough until the Mint said "wait a minute wait a minute, let's get them back so we can LAUNCH an investigation! Release zee kraken, let's get to zee bottom of zis stain on zee face of zee Mint!".
What exactly they did at that point is beyond me. Did they trash some and remake them? How can the Mint even look at them and say this one's a 69, this one's a 70? WE can't even determine it on one or two coins in our possession, yet the Mint can look at hundreds of them and make a quality determination? They should have told the AP/ graders to pound sand.
My suspicion is that possibly some were swapped out and sent to the public, like us, trying to get the graders happier with the 70s they got.
My question would be if the production numbers are really significantly less than the Marine privy ASEs vs the other 2? If so, maybe the mintage is just less because they rejected a bunch and did melt some, and that's all there is going to be.

I had a chance to look up production figures for these three releases. Maybe it's fairly common knowledge, I know much is said on some of the YouTube channels. I haven't been watching a lot of it lately, just really overload on everything with the semiQ releases and the crazy silver price fluctuations. Anyways:
Army privy 99,962
Navy privy 99,893
Marine privy 90,507

So my thought is the same, the graders were told to return some (Marine ASEs), they were late releasing them, they sort of came in batches. I still have suspicions that the graders were able to cherry pick and the Mint (and from them to us) got the rejects. Whether it ever does return to the release level of the first 2 releases remains to be seen, they are short about 9000+. Maybe the Marine privy will just remain just a little but rarer than the others.
