Podoprigora Pillar of the Community United States 588 Posts	Posted 05/04/2009 9:03 pm I got my Lincoln birth place rolls today and they are sealed very tightly. So I was wondering how do they seal them (shotgun rolls in general), how is the machine called and what's the procedure. Maybe you have some helpful links, those would be greatly appreciated. jedichef Pillar of the Community United States 781 Posts	Posted 05/05/2009 12:44 am you can actually make your own "shotgun" rolls, which is how a lot of those that pop up on ebay are created. there's a device called a twist-n-crimp, that rolls the open end of a pre-formed coin wrapper into a shotgun style roll. this is another reason to be wary and skeptical of so-called "unsearched shotgun rolls" just because the roll has two rolled ends doesn't mean it hasn't been thoroughly searched and picked through. There are of course many honest sellers (like me) that let you know the way it is. There are also some sellers that really don't know what they have (variety or rare item) and you can score a bargain sometimes. Report this Post to the Staff
