I know that the 1947 Wheat cent is worth a few cents. Not sure on the other coin.

Eric, your other coin appears to be a Thailand 1 Baht 1962. Quite common and not much value associated with it - $1 tops.

An attic is absolutely the worst place to store coins. A dry basement works best because the temperature swings are lower.
