So I ordered my first box... my very first box... of coins from my bank. Not some podunk bank...Chase. This is not the box after I tore It open like a madman. This is how it was presented to me. Note the duct tape holding it together to the left. In fact, it fell apart as I was putting it in the car and several rolls broke open. Imagine my delight picking up spilled rolls and loose Kennedys. Wow. What a kickoff to box hunting. Ever happen to any of you?  |

No, but with halves, I usually just get loose rolls, not a full box.

Not yet. I'm about 20% through them. Just some album/folder fillers and 1 NIFC.

You might need to adjust your thinking on what constitutes a podunk bank. My experiences with smaller banks and credit unions has been uniformly superior to my interactions with the behemoths.

Oh, I totally agree. My other bank is podunk and I've favored podunks for decades. Chase just gave me a sweet piece of change for direct depositing my pension check. About 40% through the hunt. No silver, more folder fillers, now 4 NIFCs.

Next time I decide on half $ (it'll be awhile), I'll go to my regional bank.
