Lion and sunface from Iran, I believe. I'd be looking in that direction.

I think at last I identified this coin.
If I am right, it is falus from Iran, Sultan Husayn I Safavi, year 1130 (1718), Kashan mint.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

I'm not sure there's a date visible on yours, but yes, it looks like Bob's clue was on the mark (as always).

I can find some on Zeno that resemble yours, citing Valentine #37 and Album #3241:, dates ranging from 1124 to 1136
