Quote: I just sent out my SS package today. With all due respect E&V - that seems like bad form on your part. I hope for your sake there was no calamity in your life that caused such a delay.

vermontensium was posting in an other forum about some Morgan dollars received - so at least we know he is still active. Hopefully he checks in here soon with his Santa package.

I had to wait a long time, due to the Canada post office strike. I already told my person and they know about the delay. It's shipped now though.

This season has seen some unprecedented delays due to the strike. It seems nickelsearcher overlooked this in his post. Afterall, the deadline for receipt is still two weeks away.

Here's the pics of my gift. Took a while but they gave me joy during the wait. 1st part. Not a stamp collector, but they will be put away with a note to remind me in the future. 2nd part. A high grade Egyptian silver 5 Qirsh. The 20 Q Crew got this one when I played it. I like it. They did too. 3rd part. A stunning example of a US 2 dollar bill. I played this one 1st on 20Q's. It was not guessed, that's why I had a 2nd go with the Egypt coin. My dad gave me an old one when I was a kid. This one will be tucked away with it. Great gift when you beat the Crew. 4th, and last part, and I read too much into things sometimes. I can just see my Santa having a chuckle. Just had to throw in his 2 cents. They are lovely. Last of the wheaties and a commem I needed. Also high grade coins. Thank you again Santa. I'm tickled. Not often does an OWG like me get to play with his gifts like a kid, with his friends. Ya baby.

Your Secret Santa was good to you, loonielewy! That's a really nice 5 Qirsh - most of the ones I've seen are nowhere near that fine.

Nice gifts, loonie!
Stamps are underrated ltiny works of art (or at least, they can be) in my opinion. I'm not a big philatelist either but I do have an album that I use for sheets of stamps that I pick up here and there.
And who doesn't love a crisp Jefferson! The vignette on the back is hard to top.

That is a great group there, loonie! That 5 qirsh is in pristine shape. The $2 bill is always a treat. Quote: The vignette on the back is hard to top. Agreed.
