PCGS - The U.S. once had Gold Certificates, gold-backed currency redeemable for physical gold before being outlawed during the Great Depression. Today, Goldback Inc. is bringing the concept back. Their notes — like this Arizona Goldback — contain fractional amounts of 24-karat gold. They're legal tender in eight states and could signal the return of precious metals to our everyday lives. Would you use goldbacks?

Got one way back when Utah was starting this and for a very short time offered a free one. I would like to see them take.

I am going to look for them at the next coin show, I know I have seen them there before, and probably buy one. At this point, it is probably the only way I will ever have some gold in my collection.
