Beautiful work, nohope!! Hope your back has recovered fully. I used to do a little more rudimentary jewellery work once upon a time, but never anything on this level or with coins. I guess I was maybe to Precious about killing coins. Even so, I have some that died a natural death, and other common dates that wouldn't be a loss.

I'll look around for some of my numismatic decor. I've got cuff links with 19th century French 20 or 50 centimes on them, and a rink made I think from a Barber half. I've also had a Peace dollar with a cutout around the eagle as a pendant I've worn for more than a decade.

The funny thing about coins that have simply been holed is I won't rule a nice specimen out if my collection just because of the hole. I consider it to be an integral part of the coin's story, especially if it's from the early 20th century or before. Holing coins was a way to secure them and keep them close.

Apologies, but taken with phone in poor light:

Today something different.
I save all my mistakes and any scrap silver coins. Ones that have been shot or cut Dryer Coins etc. I also save all the silver I cut out of the coins.
I smelt it all together adding enough pure silver to bring the mix a tad above sterling.
Then cast rods. Roll and draw into wire. Then I play with the wire.

Nohope that is some fine-looking jewelry work there. Keep it up. Glad to know you have made use of the dateless Buffalos I sent you some 15 years ago. I gave that Merc piece you sent me to my niece. She was impressed.
