Hello all,

I've been collecting US coins since I was a kid in the 70's. I actually still have my 1975 Blue Book, my 1976 Coin World Almanac, and my 1978 Red Book.

I then stopped collecting for a couple decades, but I got into some serious accumulation between 2002-2014. Then I put it aside for the last 10 years, but now the bug has bitten again and here I am. I've started working on doing a proper inventory and cataloging of what I have bought in the past. The forums here are fascinating and I will probably be looking to learn more about what is worth sending to a grading service, as well as the best ways to go about selling or trading my excess and duplicates.

Anyway, I have a great appreciation for US coins - starting with Jeffersons and Washingtons as a kid, but especially the classic US commemoratives and the beautiful designs from a century ago (i.e. walking liberties, mercuries, buffaloes, Peace dollars, st gaudens and the indian head gold pieces). And I really love studying a Morgan dollar and figuring out the die variety (VAM's!).

Anyway, very glad to be here. Cheers!
