Can someone please explain what has happened in the minting process for this to occur.
Both reverse and obverse have been affected. Very hard to get quality pics .
Lines are radiating outwards it seems on the low points of the coin, no lines on the high points.
They are not scratches.

My guess is a die wear issue. The radial nature of the anomaly suggests it is caused by metal flow from striking. It's interesting, nonetheless.

These are called radial flow lines - a sign of Die Deterioration.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

It's Die Deterioration. Those radial lines are the results of the die wearing out.

Thanks for the replies , thought it might have been a striking pressure issue. Will add it to the pile .
