Amazing -- every one of this guy's lots are dramatically overpriced.

Here's an example:

http://cgi.ebay.com/CANADA-WWII-VIC...te_W0QQitemZ200340352412QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPaper_Money?hash=item200340352412&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:2%7C65:1%7C39:1%7C240:1318%7C301:0%7C293:4%7C294:50

Now, I don't know where this guy is coming from with his $100 minimum bid for something that isn't really currency.

I got one of these last fall for $2 -- either I got a very good deal, or this guy is a rip-off artist. I'm guessing that the former isn't likely, so it must be the latter.

Check his other lots and be amazed at the obscene prices; looks to me like he's just trying to clip those that are unaware of reality...

G'day, I'd classify that item as "ephemera" of the WW2 era. I don't know if the market has developed to the extent that one could confidently value it.
I looked at the prices of some of his Australian items.
Item number 200315072532 is educational: until today, I wasn't aware that banknotes existed in "Proof" form, or grade.

I guess it's a bit like shopping at Harrods. But your right wpglwr most of his items appear grossly overpriced. Look on the bright side he's pushing up the price for the rest of us sellers.

Do you think when the seller says proof he means "specimen"?

As far as I can see, no one bought it.

Such notes are somewhat common in Winnipeg, because they were used here during "If Day", which was a simulated German invasion during a Bond Drive.

Here's another hilarious one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/BRASIL-P205-100...NC_W0QQitemZ200319595914QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPaper_Money?hash=item2ea3fa758a&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=72:1205%7C66:2%7C65:12%7C39:1%7C240:1318%7C301:0%7C293:1%7C294:50

I remember buying these for a buck or less each, and a replacement note was usually twice the price, and there was no shortage of the replacements, either.
