It was issued in 2002 to mark the Golden Jubilee (50th Anniversary) of Queen Elizabeth II's ascension to the throne. The reverse features the horse-drawn Gold State Coach that is used by the monarch on very special occasions. The gold-plated version of the silver dollar was available only as part of a Special Edition Golden Jubilee Proof Set. Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. Day includes an Army Jeep: I had one assigned to me as a Ground Surveillance Radar Platoon Leader during my time in the 1st Armored Division, in the FRG, in the early 1980's. These were installed on the dashboard of the 1988 Hyundai Pony & Steller in the UK for the Seoul Olympics. Silver (colour) for the Pony, Gold (colour) for the Steller. Other side is blank.
