I found this and it looked odd. So I put it under the microscope. Can anyone give their analysis on it for me?

Just a damaged cent. The copper plating has been taken off of each face but left on the edges.

Yes, an accurate weight to two decimal places could tell us much. Thanks.

What's weird is that the copper is in the middle and the zinc was on the outside of the face when I thought it was the other way around for 1984 Lincoln pennies. Oh well, back to digging. &

The copper plating was removed from the top and bottom of the coin but not the edge. Maybe an experiment with PCB etching solution?

Is the diameter slightly larger than a normal cent? It looks like it might be a very slight Texas Cent to me.
