1987-P Nickel W/ 6 Full Steps. Grade It?

SteveGraves New Member United States 29 Posts	Posted 03/01/2025 7:27 pm I went on a FS nickel hunt the other day and came up with a few nice ones but this one is definitely the best one. When I compare it to PCGS/NGC for the same coin I honestly feel like this one competes with the MS68. Obviously I have to be aware of my own bias so that's why I am here. What do you guys think this would grade as? I tried to get as clear of pictures as I could, the definition is very clear all around this coin and very minimal small surface blemishes. Have at it! The coin looks beautiful tho. Quote: competes with the MS68 There are no 1987 nickels graded as MS68 yet. Chances that you have one are very slim. Not only does the coin have to be flawless, it also has to exabit a deep, detailed, perfect strike. I am not seeing that detailed strike on the obverse. It would be a gamble to submit it.
