I understand that the overdate 5 over 5 obverse for this farthing is not unknown, but what about the 0? To me, it looks like something else is behind it, especially on the right? What do you all think? The "hole" on the obverse and reverse (a so called normal reverse, with a colon not a full stop), if a hole is what it is, does NOT line up. In other words, someone may have been attempting to punch a hole through the top of this coin but not in the same place, back to front. But maybe I'm wrong, and that isn't the start of a hole after all. Thoughts, comments or questions?

Definitely an attempted hole at the top. As for the 0, perhaps it took a hit in circulation.

I'm with you on the hole, Hondo, but I'm not so sure about that zero. Hopefully others will weigh in. Thanks!
